Today, I wanted to get the wing fuel gauges marked. I needed to figure out the 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, and full markings in both the level flight attitude and three point stance or ground position. I also needed to mark the 5 gallon position which is the max amount of gas for wing folding.
I accomplished this by capping the tanks and filling with distilled water. This also allowed me to flush the tanks which turned out to be a good thing as quite a bit of aluminum "dust" was flushed out of each tank.
You can see some of the aluminum dust in the bottom of the trash can I used to drain the tanks.
